Rough set approach to group decision making based on linguistic information processing

A rough set approach to group decision making is presented with respect to the decision making problems with linguistic assessment information.Firstly,a pairwise comparing table is constructed by using a little outranking information, then decision rules are extracted from this table based on dominance rough set theory. Finally,we define a score function to sort all the alternatives and select the best one.The method is in fact a two-stage procedure, first training and then decision, which is especially suitable for large scale decision making problems. An example shows that the method is effective.
