There are important information in the shaft centerline orbit, but the shaft centerline orbit is often blurred by the interference of noise. Wavelet and wavelet packet decomposition and reconstruction, and the totally different properties of the wavelet transform modulus maxima of signal and noise as the scale decreases are used to denoise the blurred signal of shaft centerline orbit, and results show the efficiency of these methods.
