Implementation of NCO Based on Pipelined CORDIC Algorithm

Common approach to implement NCO is usually based on a look-up table,which requires a huge volume of ROM to achieve high resolution.This paper proposes a pipelined architecture for implementation of NCO,which is based on CORDIC algorithm.Results from simulation and synthesis indicate that the implementation features high precision,low error and simple structure.As compared with the NCO based on look-up table,it is easier for implementation in ASIC.Finally,the simulation result is presented.
