The Method for Realizing Ext2 File System Directory Index Using Extendible Hash Technique

This paper puts forward a new method of using Extendible Hash (ExHash) technique to realize Ext2 file system directory index, introduces the basic concept of Extendible Hash technique and the concrete method of using Extendible Hash technique to realize Ext2 directory index, and makes the performance comparison between ExHash and Btree, the conclusion of which shows that ExHash is superior to Btree.
