A Model of Intrusion Detection System Based on Data Mining

Introduce the importance of intrusion detection as well as types of traditional intrusion detection and their limitations,point out that data mining technology may overcome these limitations.To solve the problems of intrusion detection system,such as the high rate of serious distort and fail to report,an intelligent model of intrusion detection which uses misuse detection and anomaly detection based on data mining approach is proposed.Experiments show that the model can produce new rules,find new type of intrusion data and decrease the rate of false alarm and fail to report.
