Research and Development of the Elliptic and Hyperelliptic Curve Cryptosystem

The Elliptic and Hyperelliptic Curve Cryptosystem is the most popular public key cryptosysytem at present. They have their own advantages and drawbacks.But considering the trend of cryptograghy in recent years, ECC and HCC will be the biggest winner in the cryptography field. This paper introduces the basic theoretical knowledge,the current situation and the development trend of ECC and HCC mainly, and puts forth some problems in need of urgent solution in the HCC theory and implementation.
