Application of Collaborative Filtering Algorithms in Movie Recommendation

Recommender system is a highly concerned machine learning application of many Internet companies,for its accuracy has direct contribution to the company's revenue. In this paper,we built a movie rating prediction system to recommend movies to its users. We applied many advanced machine learning related algorithms- KNN,Stochastic Gradient Descent,BaseLine,SVD. Using RMSE evaluation,the simulation result shows different accuracy as well as varying performance under different learning parameters.
