Design and Implementation of A Software Metrics Tool Based on Abstract Syntax Tree

In order to improve software quality,control and betterment software process,this paper designs and implements a software metrics tool based on Abstract Syntax Tree. In this paper, the architecture of the metrics tool is briefly described. The implementation of the tool is told of and emphasis is placed on the structure and node design of Abstract Syntax Tree. The application of the tool in software development is explained which validates the actual utility and efficiency of metrics tool.
