Multi link converging CICOQ switch

A multi link converging combined input-crosspoint-output-queued(CICOQ) switch is proposed based on this idea.It is proved that a multi link converging CICOQ switch working at the link rate can emulate an output queued switch by a distributed scheduling algorithm when the number of the links is equal to two.And more links will enable the switch unit of the multi link converging CICOQ switch working at a lower speed.This virtue makes the multi link converging CICOQ switch more appealing while working under a higher speed network in the future,hence is more scalable.Finally,for the simplicity of implementation,an engineering design scheme for a multi link converging CICOQ switch is presented,and the performance of it is proved to be valid through simulations.
