Determination on Isopropyl Salicylate Anti-bacterial Activity in vitro

[Objective] The purpose was to determine the minimum inhibitory concentrations of isopropyl salicylate anti-bacterial activity in vitro.[Method]Agar-dilution method was employed to determine inhibitory concentrations of isopropyl salicylate anti-bacterial activity in vitro.[Results]The results indicated that rang of the MIC of isopropyl salicylate was from 0.05 to 0.30 mg/ml.Anti-bacterial activity of isopropyl salicylate was stronger than compound acetylsalicylic acid tablets.[Conclusion]Isopropyl salicylate has obvious anti-bacterial activity.
