The implementation of electronic records metadata standards is getting more and more important.The authors discuss the key design issues of recordkeeping metadata schema of Electronic Records Management System(ERMS) relevant to entity,layers of aggregation of entity class and the modular metadata grouping based on the rule of records metadata movement and accumulation,the best practice recommended by ISO 23081,and the instance of Hangzhou Electronic Records Center.
