Application of Analogy Teaching in Course of Groundwater Dynamics
LI Hai-long · Chinese Geological Education · 2012
Analogy is an important thinking model for scientific development, and is also a good teaching method.Darcy’s law, which is the basic law in groundwater flow,is the key for quantitative assessment of groundwater resources and qualitative analysis of hydrogeological processes. To enhance teaching effects of Darcy’s law, analogy teaching can be applied based on the analogy among Darcy’s law,Fourier’s law in heat transfer, and Ohm’s law in electricity.By using the analogy teaching, students’ understanding on the Darcy’s law can be deeper. Moreover, students can be trained to use methods in other subjects for reference. Therefore, analogy teaching is an effective way for students to learn new knowledge.
