This article discussed the possibility of TiO2 and iron-doped TiO2 nanoparticles as photo sensitizer to kill tumor cells by studying the HL60 cells activity with different nanoparticles dosages, different magnetic field strength, and different conditions of receiving the visible radiation and no radiation. The experimental results showed that the nanoparticles have toxic/inhibiting effect on leukemia cells, the greater concentration of nanoparticles, the more toxic/inhibiting effect will be;while the toxic/inhibiting effect of magnetic field on cells is dependent on the concentration of iron-doped and magnetic induction intensity. The toxic/inhibiting effects to iron-doped group is obvious in the circumstance of strong magnetic field.Besides, the efficiency of PDT added nanoparticles is slightly higher than the efficiency of PDT not added nanoparticles.
