In this paper, it mainly studied GIS (application) in U.S.A. water source appraisal, introduced the importance of GIS (application) on water source appraisal, detailed argumentation about GIS application course in the water source appraisal of U.S.A., (including) database design, database building, data analyses and result show. It offers reference for setting up GIS of water source (appraisal) in (China).
