Application of Shallow Geophysical Method to Detect Active Fault in Nearshore of Qingzhou Bay-Beihai

Shengzhong Ma · Ocean Technology · 2010

The comprehensive geophysics methods to detect active faults of the sea area in Qinzhou Bay Beihai, Guangxi Province is used. The experiment proves that using the geophysics methods such as sub-bottom profiling, single-channel seismic, high-resolution 2D seismic prospecting to study the position and form of active fault is feasible. The good effect has been gotten on active fault. In view of the disadvantages such as many interfering factors and complex marine environments, some new data processing methods and technology are used. The obtained idea survey effect can be used for reference in active fault detection.
