Research on arithmetic of the shortest distance between lines on vector digital chart

The distance is an important parameter of space relations,the shortest distance of line elements on vector digital chart has many important applications on geography information analyzing.To resolve the limitation of the current arithmetic of seeking the shortest distance between two lines,the paper presented an improved arithmetic.The paper also introduced and analyzed two applying instances.
