Modeling and Performance Analysis of a Differentiated Services Scheme

This paper proposes an integrative scheme of Differentiated Services (DiffServ) for the Internet.In our scheme,qualities of service are described with the scales of importance and urgency integratively,which makes the service negotiation and implementing mechanism more flexible and universal.PHB implementing mechanism is modeled with Stochastic Petri Net,and its performance is analyzed,with an approximate analysis technique to reduce the complexity.
