Objective To establish the method of calibration and quality control for several hematology analyzers in a laboratory to insure the veracity and consistency of the results. Methods The one hematology analyzer with best performance was chosen as reference analyzer.Anticoagulative fresh whole blood was detected on several hematology analyzers by verification testing at regular intervals. The results were analyzed by relative bias and correlation coefficient. When the results did not agree with the standard of allowable, reference analyzer was used to settle a value of the fresh whole blood and calibrated the comparison analyzers by the fresh whole blood. Results The results of the comparison analyzers were agree with the relative bias for allowable and the correlation coefficient(R 0.95)after calibration. The results were of good veracity and consistency. Conclusion When the lab has several hematology analyzers of the same series, technician can do verification testing and calibration of the comparison analyzers at regular. In this way,to establish the method of calibration and quality control for several hematology analyzers in a laboratory can ensure the veracity and consistency of the results.
