Buffer Overflow-Threat to Secure Operating System

Buffer overflow is a common threat to security in recent years which is very dangerous because an attacker can get the whole or part privilege of system through a buffer overflow program. The principle, attacking method and defending policy are explained in details in this paper. In the final part of the paper, some advice or ideas are proposed to prevent buffer overflow.
