Reading and displaying of DICOM medical image

Objective: To explore the method of DICOM image reading and displaying in order to provide the preprocessing and theoretical foundation for the image processing and clinical diagnosis.Methods: First,the structure of DICOM image was analyzed,then,the theory of windowing display was introduced,and finally,the DICOM image reading and showing were achieved by using C/C++ programming.Results: The proposed method achieved the DICOM image reading and showing.Conclusion: The DICOM image reading and showing are very important in medical image processing and clinical application.
