Research and Implementation of CCTV Surveillance System Based on Distributed Objects

Surveillance system is an indispensable part of modern large projects. With the development of network and multimedia technology, it has been a trend to build such system based on the distributed architecture. However, a conventional CCTV surveillance system has encountered many unsolvable problems under these new requirements, such as the inadequate of distributed management and QoS guarantee. The recent improvement on technologies of distributed object has made it possible to establish the whole system in such a DOM environment. This paper concludes the novel progresses in relevant fields, discusses a design of a COM+ based, CCTV surveillance system, and its implementation.
