Research on a new method for measuring inductance and capacitance

In order to get the exact value of inductance and capacitance in microstrip circuits,an automatic measurement system of inductance and capacitance based on vector network analyzer is proposed. The test fixture is designed and made according to the LC resonant circuit and microstrip transmission line theory. Standard inductance and capacitance values are obtained by Taguchi optimization algorithm through the Matlab. The user interface of automatic measurement system is developed by VC ++ 6. 0 based on the GPIB interface of the vector network analyzer. Details of the design idea and the specific measurement method are given. The experimental results show that the system implements fast and accurate measurement of inductance and capacitor in the microstrip circuit. It has a very high practical value.
