Application research on water management information system of irrigation districts based on GIS

Water management in irrigation districts is one of the most important task in irrigation management. The design of the information system for water management in irrigation districts is the important way to enhance the efficiency of water management, achieve data-colleting intelligently ,observe and analyze real time. It is based on the data of the Northern irrigation districts of the Hunhe River. By using the techniques of GIS, computer, adopting relative sensor, multi-functional data-collecting card, relative software, the research had established the intelligent monitor system to collect the data of water management and had combined the system with GIS secondary development technique to set up the information system for water management in the irrigation districts.
