Feedback Congestion Control Algorithm for Transporting Real-time Video

Since packet loss and delay are usually caused by network congestion, we present a feedback congestion control scheme basedon real-time transport protocol (RTP) and real-time transport control protocol (RTCP), which can satisfy the real-time video delivery system with loss and delay requirements. The paper first shows our design motivation, then introduces the real-time video transportation architecture using the RTP/UDP/IP protocol stack and discusses our feedback congestion control algorithm in detail. Finally, we compare our real-time transportation system with other video transportation systems based on UDP or TCP.
