Technical analysis of the problems making transformer insulation oil loss higher

The reasons making transformer insulation oil loss higher are analyzed based on theory analysis combined with actual situation in the paper. It is believed that the calcium ion and magnesium ion went into transformer insulation oil is why the loss of them is higher through the test of transformer insulation oil. It meets the relevant requirements and codes about oil after the transformer insulation oil contaminated is filtered for several times with 5% alumina (AT718-00-CR). The practice shows that it is effective to solve the problems above with the procedure.
