A Preliminary Study on Compatibility and Interoperability of GNSS

With the development of GNSS,especially of Galileo and QZSS schemes,the idea of GNSS' compatibility and interoperability was put forward and more attention was paid to it in the field of satellite navigation,which became a kind of development trend for GNSS to augment the compatibility and interoperability with the existing ones,so it was necessary to study the idea.Based on the brief account of background of the compatibility and interoperability of GNSS,their difference and relationship were analyzed.Then,grounded on the three key elements of the compatibility and interoperability of GNSS,its applications in the spatial signal design,time system and coordination system selection and their effects on these aspects were analyzed respectively.At the end,some research directions on the compatibility and interoperability of GNSS were put forward.
