On the Study of the Implementation Approaches for MDBMS

The characters and requirements of multimedia application are expounds. The three implementation approaches for MDBMS,i.e. (1 ) extending relational dtabase method,(2 ) object- oriented method,(3 ) hypermedia method,are discussed.The advantages and shortcomings of each method and the problems needed furtherresearching are pointed out.
