Management system for database of sequences and annotation of genes

Using Visual Basic for Applications(VBA) language in Microsoft Excel 2003,macroprocessor system,the management system for database of sequences and functional annotation of genes(MDSA) was established,which can massively and automatically withdraw and process key items of data from a large number of gene functional annotation.As MSDSFAG can export the files in various formats,it possesses better compatibility with different data management systems,such as a software system for uploading gene information in the microarrayer,MicroGridTAS(BioRobotics Ltd,UK).This system is a successful attempt secondly to explore functions of Microsoft Excel software in managing special data,which play an important role in management of EST and cDNA database established previously by us in maize.
