Template matching and median filtering are fundamental operations in image processing.For N × N image,M × Mtemplate,and M × M window,this paper proposes a O(M 2· p?2)time parallel template matching algorithm and a O(W ×l oglog N 2)/(p2× logloglog N))time parallel median filtering algorithm on LARPBS with p 2 × N2 processors,where 1 ≤ p ≤ M,W N.
