An Improved Track-Before-Detect Algorithm for Radar Weak Target Detection

A new track-before-detect(TBD) algorithm based on improved dynamic programming algorithm and mathematical morphology is proposed to detect radar weak target in this paper.The improvement in the new algorithm is that the latter successive states are estimated when decide the transform state,so the affection of target amplitude fluctuation on detection performance can be reduced.The simulation of real data confirms that this algorithm is feasible,it not only improves the detection performance of radar weak target,but only needs small amount of computation.
