Heating Rate Dependence of Glass Transition

YU Wei-dong · 2007

A theoretical study on the heating rate dependence of glass transition is conducted, and a new model explaining the phenomenon that the glass transition temperature increases with the heating going up was deduced. The verifying experiments were also performed in Polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The experimental results showed that this model could quantificationally predict the heating rate dependence of glass transition temperature. Furthermore, the prediction about the modulus-varying rate in glass transition was validated by experimental results.
