GSM-R Network Coverage Solution in Special Section of Xi'an-Chengdu Passenger-dedicated Line

Through theoretical analysis and calculation by using electromagnetic wave propagation mode in free space and tunnel,this paper studies the coverage solution of GSM-R within the intersection between the new passenger-dedicated line and the existing ones as well as within the extra-long tunnels.The result shows that the solutions,i.e.,using the two-station redundancy coverage solution at the train control line's intersection and using the directional antenna coverage solution at the service gallery,are the safest and most reliable solutions.
