Feature Boundary Extraction Methods for Imageware System

As one of the most popular reverse engineering(RE) modeling systems,Imageware is a non-parametric interactive tool.Based on it,how to effectively extract the boundaries of different features from complex point cloud determines the processing of model reconstruction.The thought of reverse features categorization for Imageware RE system was introduced,and based on this thought,three methods,curvature-plot-based sharp edge,section-edge-primitive-based interactive operations and interactive curve creation were summarized and developed to effectively extract feature boundaries for Imageware RE system.
