Embeded CA separation system solutions based on PCMCIA interface

The PCMCIA interface technology apart conditional access card from set top box is discussed in this paper.The solution is based on a common interface standardized in digital video broadcasting between a module and a host,where conditional access system and more generally define proprietary functions may be implemented in the module.The unified hardware and the software standard separately defines in different level to encapsulate the different characteristics between conditional access.The solution allows broadcasters to use modules containing solutions from different suppliers in the same broadcast system.
