Algorithms for Automatic and Dynamic Label Placement on Electronic Map

This research explored the algorithms for labeling the point,line and area features,and gave more emphasis on line labeling and area labeling.Besides,dynamic labeling methods for each feature were provided.Finally,the algorithms were applied to the automatic map generalization software GenTools.The research is to improve the automatization and quality of dynamic label placement and make the research practical.
