Design and Simulation of Cable Telemetry System Based on DMT

In order to meet demand on data transmission rate for imaging logging system,considering the asymmetry of logging data communication between up-link and down-link,a new scheme of cable telemetry system has been designed.The scheme utilizes principle of Discrite MultiTone(DMT) in wide-bandwidth accessing asymmetrical digital subscriber loop(ADSL) of telecom to realize asymmetric data communication at higher transmission rate in cable telemetry system.An adaptive filter is set to equalize out the inter-wires disturbance in data communication with multi-core logging cable.Simulation with Matlab shows the system based on the scheme has good performance.
