A Wireless Sensor Network Multicast Model Based on Hierarchical Windmill Structure

A region-oriented and energy-efficient WSN multicast model based on hierarchical windmill structure(HWSM) is put forward here.Firstly,it sets up hierarchical ring-type multicast model and elects one leader from each ring group.Then,all those leaders elected from each ring group compose the upper level ring.Leader adopts the traversal method to deliver data to all the other nodes of the ring group by means of flooding routing method.Simulation results prove that,this model can reduce the energy consumption and improve the data transmission efficiency as well as lengthening the survival time of WSN.
