Research on Distributed Electronic Document Management System Based on Component Technology

By analyzing the requirements of document management and state of the art of its application in manufacturing enterprises, this paper presents a new developing strategy of electronic document management system based on distributed component technology, and develops a software system of distributed electronic document management for manufacturing enterprises (sort for M-EDM). The result of running M-EDM system shows that it can meet the requirements of small and medium sized manufacturing enterprises.
