Study of traffic characteristics and the burst assembly mechanism in OBS networks

In this paper,we focus on the study of the characterization of IP(Internet Protocol) traffic and burst assembly mechanism in OBS networks,introduce a ON/OFF sources model to describe the self-similar data traffic in OBS networks. Through simulation,we proved the correctness of the ON/OFF source model. Finally,we analysed several assembly algorithms,and the result shows that these algrorithms do not change the traffic's self-similar,it only change the traffic's short-term properties.
