Development of Digital Library Portal:A Case Study

In this paper the author compares and analyses the management patterns and service functions of NSDL,JISC,CADLIS,CSDL,especially the two prevalent pattern,intensive investment and project-based management pattern and investment from various sources and collaborative sharing pattern.Service functions of digital library portal are also dealt with covering its general,specific and innovative functions.Constructive strategies for digital library portal development are offered from perspectives such as market positioning, resources consolidation,Lib 2.0 and user environment integration.
