LU Gu-jing · Journal of Yunnan Normal University · 2012

The status of conceptual mapping and lexicalization between different languages lays a foundation for both comparative linguistics and any cross-lingual application in the NLP field. This paper explores Chinese Concept Dictionary(CCD) as the standard in Chinese-English meaning pairs, contrasts it with the Chinese vocabulary extracted from Grammatical Knowledge-base of Contemporary Chinese(GKCC),A Dictionary of Chinese Synonyms and HowNet,and finally evaluates the conceptual correspondences and lexicalization between these two languages, which will help the construction of the cross-lingual resources.
