Using Mapinfo Data to Build Spatial Index Based on MAPX

Spatial index is important in many fields and there are many established methods,advantages and disadvantages.MapInfo software is powerful and easy to use,but does not have a spatial index,so this paper based on research in MAPX creates a spatial index for MapInfo data.The method focuses on the car navigation system to study map matching which is a basic algorithm.Single rule with the establishment of the spatial index grid is used for improvement.The paper sets up two staggered partition method of spatial index based on the first division based on the mesh.The experiment shows that the method makes the real-time section of the search process simple,convenient and clear.
