Rapid Intra-predication Algorithm Based on AVS1-P2

The reference soft rm52j for AVS1-P2 standard adopts RDCost algorithm to balance the coding quality and coding rate pretty well to achieve better efficiency,but it takes plenty of coding time because of high computational complexity.Aiming at this problem,a fast algorithm is proposed to reduce candidate prediction modes with increasing predication speed according to the directivity of luminance variation within a 8×8 block and the correlation of adjacent blocks.Experimental results show that the fast algorithm can save coding time by 17% on average with code rate increasing slightly and PSNR almost unchanged.
