Amorphous alloy to be applied in power transformer will be an energy-saving material which can reduce , in large scale, transformer open circuit losses. Introduction was made to the advantages and disadvantages of amorphous alloy, and comparison and analysis were being carried out between amorphous alloy iron-core transformer and stalloy iron-core transformer in performances, pro-viding references for manufacturing amorphous alloy iron-core transformers.
