An Experimental Study on Relation between the Shape and Size and Heights and Speeds

Objective To observe the shape and size of drip bloodstain on different kinds of object which dropped in different heights, speeds or height and speed. Methods Anticoagulation blood was dropped in static or movable conditions.The drip bloodstain was observed.The diameter was measured.The data were analyzed by spss 12.0 statistic software. Result In static conditions,the drip bloodstain on different kinds of object was shaped round with stings on edge.There was linear relationship between the diameter and height, which could deduce linear formula.In walk, hurry walk,run and dash movable conditions, the drip bloodstain appeared as round or ellipse with stings on one side along direction of motion. Height or speed influenced the shape and size of drip bloodstain on four kinds of object.Height and speed interacted on the shape and size of drip bloodstain only on cement ground. Conclusion The shape and size of drip bloodstain are useful to estimate the heights of bleeding, speeds and directions of motion.
