Design and Implementation of Collaborative Plotting Awareness Map System

Since the traditional plotting system is single-user system that contradicts the requirements for multi-user plotting at the same time, a CSCW plotting system is designed and built to solve the problem of remote multi-user collaborative plotting activity. This paper presents the architecture of presider-user pattern, based on collaborative plotting layer and collaborative management layer framework and distributed locking mechanism technologies for supporting collaborative management, real-time interaction and collaborative awareness. With these technologies, a remote collaborative plotting system is implemented.
