Designing and Implementing Progress Bar with Java API

This article describes a new method to design and implement a progress bar and uses a simple application to demonstrate the main concepts.The application uses the multi-thread design pattern to provide additional functionality to the built-in ProgressMonitor class.This allows you to use and benefit from a new progress bar after making only minimal changes to your existing application code base.
