A Method of Road-boundary Detection Algorithm Using Laser Radar Data

This algorithm transforms 3D point cloud into 2D similarity image by calculating the similarity among the adjacent 3D laser points.Based on it,this paper uses iterative threshold to segment traversable area,finally uses Canny operator and Hough transformation to detect road-boundary.Experiments indicate that this method can effectively detect the road-boundary of structural road.
