Water irruption from the floor is a very complicated process of geological mechanics. There are various factors which influence the process of water irruption. The function of a single factor, the interactions and subjection relation among these factor are considered in detail. Using analytic hierarchical process and fuzzy synthesis methods, a model of analytic hierarchy for the various factors is established. The single factor which is described qualitatively is quantified by using the subjection function of fuzzy synthesis methods. Therefore quantified values are obtained. An example of evaluating the safety of the floor against water irruption is given. 3 refs., 2 figs., 1 tab.
