Local region short-term traffic flow forecasting model based on chaotic theory

On the basis of analysis of urban short-term traffic flow time series and the characteristic of chaos,a local-region multi-step short-term traffic flow forecasting model is presented through study on chaotic time series forecasting methods.The multi-step forecasting model is applied to actual traffic flow forecasting,the results of which demonstrate the proposed method is superior to the sing le-step method in calculation accuracy.
